Here's something you may not know about me.
I was educated in Christian theology.
I hold Bachelor of Theology (BTh) and Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS) degrees.
I've even served on staff at two separate churches.
That was a long time ago.
It was a whole different life that I walked away from 7 years ago.
But there were lessons to be learned.
People are people, regardless of the institution, organization, or family dynamic.
People exist at different levels of mental complexity, which means they see the world through different lenses.
And it's that diversity of thought that makes us unique and worth knowing on an individual basis.
So before you judge the next person, try to get to know them.
Yes, some people are so filled with hate they won't let you, but you can walk away from them.
Most people want to be heard; they want to be seen.
Take a moment, connect with someone new, and learn something unique.
Your life will be better for it.
